Sintered wire meshes are commonly applicated in fluidized bed applications and can be used for conveying powders and other dry solid materials.
The production process of sintered wire meshes:
✔ Before sintering the mesh, first it needs to be flattened.
✔ By calendering the mesh, the wires are better connected to each other.
✔ After this, the calendered wire is fixed in the furnace at high temperature.
✔ By adding inert gas to the furnace, the mesh is sintered once the correct temperature is reached.
✔ Once the material is removed from the furnace, the sintered mesh is cooled at a controlled temperature and the layers are interconnected.
Sintered wire meshes are used for gas filtration, air filtration, dust filtration or liquid filtration. Furthermore, sintered materials can be seen in the (petro)chemical industry, water treatment and pharmaceutical industries.
